As mobile phones become more apart of our lives, here are steps on encrypting your data on your mobile iOS devices. Keep in mind you should do this with a full battery or plugged in to avoid possible data loss.

Go to Settings > General > Passcode

Create a passcode

Follow the prompts to create your passcode. We recommend a minimum of 6 digits with 1 repeat for enhanced security.

Verify your data protection

Once your code is set, scroll to the bottom of the screen and verify that "Data protection is enabled" is visible.
