Introduction
I had to restore some user files today. Little did I know I was not going to be able to access VDP file level restore. The reason being with the release of FireFox 38 and Chrome 40 VDP File Level Restore web page is no longer available as both browsers have removed the DSA ciphers.
Causing the following errors.
Chrome: ERR_Connection_Closed or Err_Connection_refused
Firefox: Secure connection failed.
We will need to update VDP to use a SHA 2 Certificate

This is the KB article that helped from VMware. However I spent some time figuring out how to get the File to the VDP appliance.
I used Filezilla to connect to my VDP appliance
vdp_Appliance_ip:22
I used the SSH port as the standard port is closed.
Use your admin login in Filezilla
Transfer the patch to your admin/home folder
